Hon Mohammed Okpede representing Doma North constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly said he will not swap position come 2019.

The incumbent member gave the indication in an interview with selected Journalists at his abode in Doma, the headquarters of Doma Local Government.

The lawmaker revealed that he would again re-contest for House of Assembly if given the chance to represent his constituency in 2019.

Okpede when asked whether he has the intention of decamping to the All Progressives Congress as widely reported by the media, he however said he remained a card carrying member of the People’s Democratic Party.

The lawmaker piqued over the incessant attack meted on farmers by Fulani headers in Doma Local Government and its environs called on Fulani pastoralist to desist from provocation of farmers.

The member House of Assembly expressed displeasure over the unabated destruction of farm product by Fulani herdsmen.

Hon. Mohammed Okpede called on farmers to exhibit tolerance by reporting cases of invasion by Fulani pastoralist and report the matter to the appropriate authorities for action.

The lawmaker urged the people of Doma Community to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and togetherness at all times.
