Promote Peace With Your Reportage-Nasarawa Deputy Governor Tells Correspondents Chapel

Nasarawa state Deputy Governor, Silas Agara has appealed to Journalists in the state to focus on reportage that would promote peace and unity amongst the diverse ethnic groups as well foster development in the state.

The Deputy governor disclosed this when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel paid him a courtesy visit at his office along Shendam Road, Silas Agara tasked the press to focused on stories that would bring peace to the state.

He solicited for maximum support and cooperation of the press to move the state to an enviable height, the number two citizen commended the Correspondents ‘ Chapel for the smooth conduct of election.

The Deputy Governor congratulates the new executives, calling on other Chapels of the Nigeria Union of Journalist to inculcate the maturity exhibited during the election that ushered in new crop of executives.

He also commended the Chapels for rallying round the national vice president of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Mohammed Danmusa in the last SWAN election.

He prayed for the quick recovery of President Muhammad Buhari, he also appreciates Muslims and Christians in the state for holding prayer sessions at mosques and churches.

“We in Nasarawa state are solidly behind President Muhammadu Buhari”he stated.

The chairman, Suleiman Abubakar applauded the state Deputy Governor for accommodating the press and promised to synergize with the state government.

He gave the assurance that the union will work with the state government for optimum result.

Abdullahi Shuaibu, a former Secretary of the state council appreciated the Deputy Governor for the warm welcome accorded to its members and assured him of the Chapel’s commitment.
