Profile And Photo Of The AIG Who May Replace Idris As Inspector General of Police

Based on feelers from the Presidency on Monday, Assistant Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed will replace Ibrahim Idris in acting capacity as the Inspector General of Police on Tuesday (today).

This came to the fore as Idris completes his tour of duty in the Nigeria Police on Tuesday (today).

According to available information, Mohammed is from Lafia in Nasarawa State and is at the moment at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State.

Born on November 9, 1961, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police in 1986 and had before now served as the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State and AIG Zone 5 in Benin, Edo State.

He has also had experience serving in the peacekeeping force of the United Nations.
