Let us reason together folks. In Iraq and Syria, you have the Islamic State militants unleashing terror on people in the region. Here in Europe, a situation dangerously close to anarchy was only just averted the other day following an ill-conceived plan to assasinate the British monarch, Her Majesty , the Queen Of England by a certain British Muslim who, reports say , recently got radicalized.
This doubtless points at the collapse of civilization and abysmal return to barbarism. Radicalisation could therefore be seen in this connection as a militant, politically activist ideology whose ultimate goal is to create a worldwide community, or caliphate of Muslim believers. Abdulmutalib , the young Nigerian toed this infamous line sometime ago also in a futile bid to blow up an American airliner over Detroit on Christmas day in the USA.
In Nigeria, for instance, we have the Boko Haram militants whose reign of terror now hang over our heads like the ancient sword of Damocles, while in faraway Afghanistan, the USA has al-Qaeda and other Islamist militants to contend with and so also has the case been in Pakistan , Somalia and others by these vermin in a bid to propagate their retrogressive Islamist ideology. Determined to achieve this new world order every means is employed , including violence and mass murder as we experience today in the north eastern flank of Nigeria by the radical Islamist sect Boko Haram. Their modus operandi is further characterized by their contempt for the beliefs, practices, and symbols of other religious traditions. This intolerant creed is cited by Islamists as the philosophical justification for their terrorism.
However, we have it on good authority that when the prophet’s teachings were discovered to be incompatible with the Meccan ideology in pre-Islamic Arabia moral suasion became a welcome relief and was swiftly employed in stead of launching counter-attacks on the recalcitrant Meccan aristocrats to resolve the ideological conflict at the period under review. In sharp contrast to this liberal ideals these bloodthirsty ‘faithful’ like a cast of neophyte actors have distorted the prophet teachings having resorted to unleashing terror on one and all for their selfish interests and the world must rise and put a stop to this societal madness before more pigs begin to fly.
In the historic 9/11 attacks we spot their version of Islam with terrorism and their willingness to use violence as a means to its ultimate ends. In a training manual by al-Qaeda discovered soon after the diabolic attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, USA this was clearly spelt out and taking their cue from this we find Boko Haram resorting to violence via destruction of human lives and property to protest the ills of society. This is certainly not a civilized approach against a so-called ”godless and apostate regime” in Nigeria. This , if I dare say , is diametrically alien to Socratic debates, Platonic ideals and Aristotelian diplomacy.
The reason for this is not far-fetched. They stand firm in their conviction that Islam must dominate the world being the only true religion – the religion of God and that their power has been lost in modern times because Islam has been abandoned by many Muslims, who have reverted to the condition that preceded God’s revelation to Prophet Muhammad.
Thus a revival is deemed absolutely necessary either by hook or by crook to bring back the lost Golden Age, the departed brothers to the fold and do away with unbelievers who are labelled as infidels if needs be by machine guns and dangerous powerful explosives. Muslims, they opined , must return to the original Islam in that it possesses an immutable law, revealed by God, that deals with every aspect of life, an ideology, a complete system of belief about the organization of the state and the world. This law and ideology can only be implemented through the establishment of a truly Islamic state, under the sovereignty of God. Under this setting, Abubakar Shekau would have mercilessly ordered the decapitation of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle and have their flesh fed to the vultures.
Now my question is, are we in the end times? Must the supranational authority fold its hands and allow terror everywhere by a band of criminals under the cloak of ”Islam”? We of course know what says the Hadith – sayings and deeds of the Prophet. What obtains today is fundamentally opposed to what is enjoined by the above-named. This calls for reflection and world governments must frown upon this new world order before we all find ourselves in dishonourable graves. Islam is clear on the mode of conversion and it is a thousand pities that the Quranic texts have been gravely distorted and corrupted by these band of invading marauders who are bent on personal aggrandizement.
In their vain pursuit of territorial ambition, bomb and rifle are employed, Shekau and his men have resorted to armed confrontation and rule out truce like the recent one supposedly brokered with the sect. The only dialogue they know under the existing circumstances is one of bullets , assassinations , bombings, destruction and lastly the diplomacy of the canon, sub-machine and machine guns procured for them by our money bags in the region whose aim is to disintegrate Nigeria under Dr. Jonathan’s presidency, thanks to the huge oil deposit discovered somewhere in the Lake Chad Basin , Borno State.
Is it not time these vermin are read the Riot Act by killing them in their hundreds and thousands together with their perceived sympathizers and sponsors where ever they are spotted or seen under the sun? A band of armed terrorist gang must not be allowed to create a new World Order under whatever guise or under the cloak of a certain religion.
President Bush stood and fought against this during the armed invasion of Iraq and it behooves the world to unite against terror and outlaw the professing of a Transcendent Deity like someone in an intoxicated state characterized by illusions , visual hallucinations and bodily distortions under which they hide to unleash terror on the world.
