Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El- Rufai has again come down hard on Dr Goodluck Jonathan describing him as the most incompetent president Nigeria ever had in history. The former Minister who is the interim Deputy National Secretary of the newly registered opposition mega party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, stated this in Kaduna today where he promised that the progressive party would not sacrifice a quality candidate on the alter of zoning as it obtains in the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

El-Rufai said that the PDP zoning experience had shown that the worst candidate could be elected president, citing President Jonathan as, “the most incompetent President in Nigerian history”.
According to him “I don’t think the North and the South is the issue, what Nigeria needs is a competent President, whether is from the North or South, it is immaterial to us in APC, we want competent governors that will serve the people, whether blue or black, from the moon or south we are not concern with that, and I think Nigerians should stop voting people on basis of where they come from. President Jonathan is the most incompetent president in Nigerian history.
“The fact that one is in PDP does not mean that when you recognize that PDP has gone toxic you should not leave, you cannot compare General Muhammadu Buhari with anyone in the PDP, we are offering Nigerians an alternative and fresh approach to governance that is inclusive, honest and fair that will serve the people and not that which will serve the pockets of a few.”
El-Rufai had in a recent interview granted Libery FM radio in Kaduna accused Jonathan of being the godfather of oil thieves killing the nation’s economy from the Niger Delta zone.

The former Minister was in Kaduna by to witness the distribution of vehicles and other materials donated to his campaign coordinators and some of his supporters in the State Central Senatorial District by Senator Mohammed Saleh for the job well-done during his election in 2011. The Senator who is asking for a similar support in 2015, gave out 15 Peugeot 406 cars, 350 motorcycles and 80 refrigerators. The event was chaired by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Masari who is now the interim Deputy National Chairman of the APC
