Pray For Your Leaders Than Cursing Them  – Sultan

Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto has urged people to stop cursing their political and traditional leaders, instead to pray for them in other God to give them wisdom and knowledge to rule with his fear.

The Sultan of Sokoto said this during the Bauchi state economic and investment summit, with the theme “Building a resilient economy: Optimizing investment and partnerships”, held at the newly constructed Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre in Bauchi State.

He said that bad prayers to political and traditional leaders will always be destroying the country, but good prayers for leaders will surely bring development to the local, state and federal government levels and will also make the country to leave peacefully.

According to the Sultan, said that “Our support is unwavering. But whatever you do, if there’s no security, you can’t really achieve anything,” appealing to all Nigerians to love their country and pray for their leaders instead of cursing them.

He further said that both political and traditional leaders are not angels but human beings like everyone, so there’s no need of cursing them because leadership is a continuous one.

The Sultan of Sokoto beg both international and domestic investors to invest in Bauchi State because Bauchi is a peaceful state in Nigeria.

He challenged northern Governors to reflect on states investment summit so far done and show results and impact on Northern Nigeria Economy and masses.

He said that “Over the past decade, we have convened countless investment summits in the North,”

“What have we achieved? Have we really achieved the goals of such summits? I want to challenge the Governors of Northern states on this. Have we really moved our states and the north forward? I want to challenge all of us to really look inwards. Nobody can take us out of these economic challenges except we, ourselves. The North has everything needed for development,” he said.

He assured Governors of total support of traditional and religious leaders and prayers for them to succeed.

The Monarch commended the Vice President Shettima’s unflinching support for President Tinubu in leading Nigeria, just as he pledged the support of religious and traditional leaders at all times.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar said that “We must create an environment where investment thrives with roads, electricity, and security in place.”
