Plateau Youth Disassociates, Reject PIDAN For Endorsing Lalong Candidate

The unholy romance between the Plateau Indigenous Development Association Of Nigeria (PIDAN) with the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong over the endorsement of Gov Lalong’s candidate for the governorship election.

In a statement jointly signed by Comrade Peter Ishaya and Matthew Tok  made available to this medium in Jos, it said; “we the concerned youths cutting across the 17 LGA of Plateau State and Diaspora, wish to dissociate ourselves from PIDAN for the endorsement of an aspirant in the person of Nentawe.

As a concerned body, we would have not cared to dignify the acclaimed endorsement, but since PIDAN has refused to clear herself from the purported endorsement, it then became expedient of us to write and remind PIDAN of her roles and functions;

PIDAN is supposed to be a father to all, PIDAN is supposed to be a non-partisan body.

PIDAN silence on some recent killings on the Plateau, just to show up now taken side with the governor and his endorsement will not surprise many of their being the governor’s rubber stamp.

We are reliable aware that the government has removed the sum of 1. 5 billion from the state coffers just to support PIDAN anointed aspirant 

As concerned youths, we want PIDAN to kindly highlight the success or successes of the Lalong administration that will warrant an endorsement.

PIDAN should not forget in a hurry the Plateau Project that brought Lalong which PIDAN was a voice of the people then and also to remember the just concluded Bassa/Jos North House of Reps election and its consequences.

In conclusion, we are calling on plateau people to disregard any endorsement by PIDAN, Lalong and or any so-called critical stakeholders who had taken part in this purported agenda.

Finally, we are tired of the Plateau of the father, wife, father-in-law, brothers, sisters, and Golf Players committee of friends. Enough is Enough because Plateau belongs to all of us and we can die for Plateau.
