Plateau To Airlift 1100 Intending Pilgrims To Holyland -Rev Fr George Gorap

The Plateau State Christian Pilgrim Board have concluded preparation for the 2019 Airlift of at least no fewer than, 1,100 intending pilgrims to the Holyland .
The Executive Secretary of the pilgrims ,Rev. Fr George Gorap in an interview with our correspondent at their headquarters in Jos on Monday disclosed that the state government sponsored 700 ,while the Local Government Areas sponsored 300 intending Pilgrims.
Rev.Gorap said the delay in getting the international passports to all intending Pilgrims from the immigration is given the board serious concern .
He added that one female who hailed from Mangu Local Government Council absconded last year while in holy-land which is the only indigene in record of numbers Pilgrims in Plateau State usually absconding them.
Rev Fr George Gorap debunked allegations of lopsided numbers of seat allocated to his friends and family members in 2019 as baseless.
According to him, the forms given to those intending pilgrims to fill and submit is not from his office directly ,the ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and the state government handle their own.
Speaking on his alleged financial recklessness as the executive secretary of board ,the Rev Fr George explained further that there is no memo which will be approve by the governor and through the governor memo are send to the executive secretary office .
He stated that the governor gave Plateau youths 100 seats to Jerusalem just to complement his Campaign promises to them
