The Nigerian Police has announced 10 million naira reward to anybody that has useful information that would be used to trace the killers of the first class ruler of Bokkos, Ron Kulere ,Lazaru Agai
The police AIG Agboola Oshodi Glover promised that it will stop at nothing towards ensuring that the killers of the first class chief of Bokkos local government of plateau state were arrest and punished.
This was made known by CP, Adekunle Oladunjoye at the Plateau State command headquarters that Government has place an offer of 10 Million naira ransom as compensation to anyone with useful information about killers of the first class ruler of Bokkos Local Government Council of Plateau state.
The Plateau state commissioner of police, CP Oladunjoye affirmed this while playing host to the Assistant inspector General of Police in charge of zone 4 Agboola Oshodi Glover on Wednesday.
The CP hinted the AIG that some parts of the state is enjoying relative peace at the moment, except challenges of culpable homicide, robbery, religious intolerance and some pockets of crimes being gripped with by the command and cattle rustling.
He appeals for the supply of more patrol vehicles and communication gadgets to the command to enable officers and men of the command to effectively and efficiently carry out their assignment.
Addressing the officers of the command the Assistant Inspector of Police in charge of zone 4, AIG Agboola Oshodi Glover confirmed that the ransom is a welcome development and that it is part of the police law to use fund in getting useful information that can unravel the truth.
He emphasized that ethno religious, communal clashes, herdsmen /farmers’ dispute remains a serious setback but commended the officers for their sacrifices and cooperation with the commissioner of police in the state toward ensuring that the state becomes governable.
Glover urged them to remain dogged and be discipline in carrying out their assignments, stressing also the need for them to be civil in their approach and effectively put to use adequate community policing.
He assured them their welfare will be given top most priority and those who put in their best would soon be recommended for promotion while those found on the wanted list would surely be punished.
The AIG assured those with prerequisite certificates not to get themselves worried that the present IG is doing everything humanly possible to take the plight and welfare very serious.
He warned against blocking of highway or go for illegal posting places as police will never condone such act .
Glover advised that policemen and women should appear smart neat and be punctual on duty, adding on rioting the police should be there 30 minutes before the rioters start to identify those responsible.
According to him, civilian and police should work out synergy on how to build civil relationship of getting useful information through public gathering.
