Plateau Police Arrest One Ibrahim Usman For Allegedly Killing A Seven-Year-Old, 3 Others For Defiling An Underage Girl

The Plateau Police Command has arrested one Alhaji Ibrahim Usman of Sabon Layi accused of killing a seven-year-old child as well rustling at least 15 cows and 14 sheep which he later handed them over to one Mallam  Bala Yahaya Mohammed of  Zaria road cemetery for safe keeping.

The Plateau State Police Command, Commissioner, CP Undie and Adie disclosed this to journalists while briefing them on the command breakthrough in crime fighting.

He said Alhaji Ibrahim Usman made a call to Bala Yahaya on phone at about 1645 hours to come over to Zaria road cemetery where he handed over the custody of 15 cows and 14 sheep for safe keeping.

According to him, later information available revealed that the cows and sheep belonging to Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna of Agigi in Bassa LGA were stolen with the connivance of some herdsmen.

However, the suspects confirmed that they conspired in the killing of a 7-year-old minor, (Mohammed Ibrahim ) and rustled the cows and the sheep which its case has been transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation, he explained.

The CP confirmed that the command apprehended Bala Yahaya Mohammed and he is assisting them on how he conspired with three other persons to kill Mohammed Ibrahim and made away with the animals.

The command also paraded some syndicates for raping one Zainab Mohammed of Angwan Rogo on the 26/01/2018 at about 13 hours.

The following were mentioned, Suleiman Usman age 18, Umar Aliyu aged 18 and Usman  Bala 20 years old all of Sangwan Rogo, Jos but their gang leader, Yahaya Alia Kenza surname unknown is at large by luring her daughter, Basima Bashir aged 14  inside room and gang-raped her.

Adie maintained that the security challenges in some parts of the state, particularly in Bassa, Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Bokkos LGAs urgent steps have been taken to mitigate them.

He assured the citizens of synergy with other security agencies, to resolve the violent clashes with a view to returning the state back as the home of peace and tourism.

CP Adie warned the general public to stop spreading falsehood on social media which most often metamorphosed into rumors of imminent attack which creates panic in some parts of the state.
