Plateau PDP Crisis: Nandom Pennap Faction Accuses Yakubu Chocho Of Jumping Bailiff Services

Following the aftermath of the People Democratic Party, PDP, wards, Local Government Councils Congresses, the party is now battling with over 42 pending cases which are disintegrating and building suspicion between the ranks and files of the party.

 

The former Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area who was also an ex-Plateau State House of Assembly member, Hon Nandom Pennap has said there has been a delay for them to institute court service on the 28 aspirants vying for elective positions under the platform of PDP who reconstituted themselves into caretaker committee.

 

Our medium was in court on Thursday to witness the long awaiting proceedings from the Federal High Court, presiding over issues of dispute.

 

Justice Dorcas Agishi of court 2 said the Hon Nandom Pennap (plaintiff) couldn’t complete all the procedure requires in court for service.

 

Information gathered outside revealed that the Hon Gwott Yakubu Chocho office couldn’t be traced by the court bailiff which in the plaintiff’s opinion that they are jumping service because no one knows their whereabouts.

 

This medium also gathered that the looming crisis in PDP might likely speak on the forthcoming Plateau Southern senatorial district bye-election if an urgent step is not taken by the National Secretariat of the party.

 

Hon Nandom Pennap, Engr Godwin Bedir said they instituted a suit challenging the exco of the PDP whose tenure has expired about two to three months ago.

 

According to them, the 28 persons who reconstituted themselves into caretaker committees of PDP in Plateau state was illegal if the party constitution which said only 7 man committees are to take charge and conduct election to usher in PDP brand exco.

 

Counsel to the Plaintiff, Barr D. A Zangbe in his presentation in court on Thursday requested the court audience to grant him one month to enable bailiff effect service on the Chocho office.

 

Justice Dorcas Agishi adjourned the case to 16th July 2020 for the bailiff to serve the Hon Chocho and files all the necessary documents for hearing to commence.
