The Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Plateau State chapter, Comrade Eugene Manji said the they reject in totality the price hike in ingredients to any country’s development, he stated this during the workers’ day celebration.

Manji said It is truly sad to note that despite Nigeria being richly blessed with resources, “The Country has remained cursed due to bad leadership. It is very worrisome that even the wailing and painful cries of the masses of this country are not heard. Unfortunately, those we elected soon turned out to be the Lord’s on earth after their oath of office, engaging in acts, and implementing laws and policies that further impoverished workers and citizens of Nigeria.

” Our politicians are more concerned with sending prayers to their email boxes and how to accumulate wealth that their unborn generations cannot finish continuously, some pay school fees for their unborn children from public funds in advance, leaving those who need a touch of life praying about waiting for things to change,” he explained.

Manji lambasted them that by taking a look at the current security and economic situation as a country, one will wonder if we are in another world that was destined to be like this.

He condemned in its totality, how people are killed daily while National security offices are celebrating a drop in the number of deaths resulting from banditry, kidnappings, armed robberies, and other vices as if Nigerian lives do not matter.

According to him, it should be noted that Nigeria is in a sorry state stemming from one democratic dispensation to another, our country continues to retrogress beyond human understanding.

He disclosed that all policies carried out by successive regimes including the present administration seem to inflict more hardship on Nigerians rather than improving their quality of life.

Manji emphasized that poor leadership in Nigeria has resulted in attendance negative effects on individuals, and the economy, resulting in hardship and insecurity challenges such as kidnapping, banditry, herdsmen unprovoked killings, and very harsh economic realities that seem to defy any known remedy.

He pointed out that regrettably poor Nigerians are dying and are quickly choked, and strangled by the very bad policies of our leaders while the workers and citizens are requested to be patient with the government.
