The Plateau State Commissioner for Lands,Survey and Town Planning ,Hon Yakubu Datti has received approval of Governor Simon Bako Lalong for seven(7) layouts ,two industrial ,five residential which is inline with his 3 pillar policy of re-engineering the state in five years developmental strategic program of action.
In a press statement made available to our medium by the information unit Tina H.Monday in Jos disclosed that the commissioner embarked on visitation to all the permanent sites in tewo-tebo(mista-ali),Rafiki,Dong,Rantya layout,Rei and kwang.
Hon Dati was accompanied by the permanent secretary,Barr.Naanman Gamde,Directors of the ministry and members of the layout including the acquisition committee to supervise and inspect the proposed permanent sites of the layout in Jos North and South LGAs respectively.
According to him ,”the Ministry is now working in line with the five years development strategy developed of the Governor Simon Bako Lalong administration and part of the Ministry’s function to achieve the mandate of private Public Partnership(PPP) in some selected layout.
Datti explained further that it is plan of government to cater for the housing needs of the growing population of people decongest the state capital for business activities to strife .
He stated that out of the seven(7) layouts,five(5) for residential while two(2) are for industrial sectors of which the Ministry’s is pushing to create an open doors for investors to come in .
The commissioner cautioned the contractors handling the layouts to provide proper roads network with standard social amenities with modern equipment because the state is trying to move away from urban slums where we have dead end roads and social amenities to connect the buildings and its suburbs.
Hon Datti reiterated that the layout will ensure adequate facilities such as fire service post,hospital s and good road to brace up the legacy of revamping the state infrastructural deficit .
