The death toll in Tuesday’s attack on communities in Mangu Local Government Area (of Plateau State has risen to 85.
The National President of Mwaghavul Development Association, Joseph Gwankat, made this known to newsmen.
He spoke on Wednesday after a security meeting at the palace of the traditional ruler of Mangu.
Gwankat said several communities were attacked simultaneously by suspected herdsmen.
He said thy not only killed the residents of the area, they also burnt their houses and destroyed their farmlands.
