Plateau IPAC Members Alleged Diversion Of Xmas/New Year Govt Palliative

Yakubu Busari

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Plateau State chapter, expressed dismay over the alleged diversion of Christmas and New Year palliatives provided by the State Government.

This was revealed to journalists in an interview with some opposition party members, who claimed that the Special Adviser to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Mr. John Akans failed to present any palliatives to IPAC in the state.

According to the state secretary, Hon. Aminu Hadi, their members approached them seeking their share of food items, but the leadership did not receive any.

“Yes, it’s true that some members asked for their share of food items from the state government; some even alleged we received the items but refused to share them.

“Our investigation revealed that the government allocated palliatives for our members, but we haven’t collected any from the Special Adviser’s office on inter-party affairs. I want to use this medium to call for calm amongst the IPAC members, we are going to constitute a committee to investigate the allegation once our chairman is back from Abuja,” Hon Aminu said.

Hon. Aminu appreciated Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s concern for IPAC’s affairs and urged him to investigate their complaints.

However, effort to speak with Mr John Akans proved abortive as he was not picking calls at the time of filing this report.
