A crisis has hit Plateau House of Assembly as principal officers of the Assembly may be impeached on Wednesday if nothing tangible is done to avert it; this is as this universalreportersng.com learnt that there has been an extensive secret meeting held behind a closed door in an undisclosed venue over the matter.

The Twenty Four (24) Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly have threatened to impeach the Speaker ,Rt Hon Peter Ajang Azi ,the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong and the Majority leader Hon Henry Yenkwap if the list of chairmen and their entitlements are not complied with  by Governor Simon Lalong before Wednesday.

Universalreportersng.com gathered that the Plateau State Governor has indefinitely refused to settle constituencies allowance which has been pending since 2016.

The Plateau State House of Assembly seating was on Tuesday was aborted owing to the nonpayment of salaries, allowances and constituency project which the government couldn’t pay them.

The members of the APC including the PDP were amongst those who have never enjoyed their constituency projects since the Lalong’s Government came on board.

However, information available to this medium revealed that the House of Assembly rejected the list of the chairmen of management committee which was earlier sent by Governor Simon Lalong for confirmation.

It was disclosed further that the House members and principal officers are now suffering more on allegations of shielding the Governor and are described as rubber stamps and eight assembly members who are pocketed by Governor Simon Lalong administration.
