Plateau Farmers Saved 60,000,000.00 In FADAMA For Campaign To Reduce Poverty And Encourage Rural Empowerment

The Coordinator of FADAMA lll in Plateau state disclosed that farmers have saved over sixty million naira (60,000,000) into their various account leading to setting up micro finance .
The Board Chairman FADAMA Farmers Micro Finance Bank Limited,Chief Gideon G. Dandam has said ,the campaign to reduce poverty through empowerment of farmers in rural area with saving among register members in micro finance bank .
Dandam stated this during the commissioning ceremony of microfinance bank at Chief Solomon Daushep Lar unity house in JOS North Local Government council on Wednesday.
He said delivering efficient to customer friendly financial and advisory services to rural and urban low-income groups and individuals client .
Dandam disclosed further that the micro ,small and medium enterprises ,using customers service and appropriate excellent technology to generate income and increase productivity to promote employment opportunities and improve livehoods on a sustainable basis .
According to him, he explained that adashe ,daily contribution ,fixed deposit account,savings account,salary account, students ,children and current account ,adding, loans and advances products ,agricultural loan,I.P.O financing,MSME loans,personal loans special loans (Women) overdraft’s facility ,assets acquisition and tricyclist minor account.
Governor Simon Lalong said government demonstrated its commitment to repositioning the FADAMA through micro finance to encourage farmers to involved economic viability
He promised to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of rural communities by establishment loans and micro finance to consolidate on the deliberate effort of fighting poverty..
He stressed that his emphasis to boost agriculture toward sustainable support and development .
Represented by Director General Plateau State Micro finance Development agency who declared the occasion open ,FADAMA farmers micro finance Bank limited came into existence in December,2015 as a result of sustainability measures put in place by third National FADAMA development project .
He noted that farmers were trained by the project on how to save part of the profit realize from their has been incorporated just any other micro finance bank in Nigeria to offer various finance services to the low income earners and have been registered with corporate affairs..
He maintained that the decision to establish the bank was conceived after realizing that Farmers held several meetings in conjunction with the state FADAMA coordination office and reached a conclusion to pull together about twenty million naira(20m) for deposit with central bank as requirement to establish a one unit micro finance bank.
