Cautions Against Sub-Standard Building

The Plateau State Deputy Speaker, Hon Yusuf Gagdi called for investigation into the infrastructural decay and the deplorable nature of the Structures of Federal Government Girls College Dengi.

Speaking he also said that the former SUBEB chairman Yop Mang should appear before the house committee to explain her involvement in the deal.

The Deputy Speaker cautioned reckless contractors against the use of sub-standard building equipments and   ordered for full flesh investigation into state universal Basic Education Programme of the immediate past PDP government.

Hon Yusuf Gagdi gave the warning at the Plateau state house of assembly complex during their first plenary session on 2016 plan of action.

He said the investigation became imperative because of the importance place on education in Kanam local government council which lack federal government presence in the area of need.

He warned that any defaulter who fails to deliver the contract awarded to them the House will not hesitate to order for the necessary measure to be melted on them.

The Deputy Speaker also advised state government against deplorable roads linking most of the schools that led to poor supervision and abandonment without teachers.

He lamented infrastructural decay and the deplorable nature of Federal Government Girls College Dengi, as he said that the former SUBEB chairman Yop Mang should appear before the house committee to explain her involvement in the deal.

According to him, contracts awarded should be review so that hose defaults should be punished for failure to meet dateline by calling the House will embark on oversight function to visit the site and bring back report.

The Deputy Speaker added that Gagdi is the constituency that has no road at present, so he appeal to Lalong administration to give attention to rural roads construction in Jarmai ,through Guruntung to Lamba need attention.

Hon Gagdi restated that the house of assembly will investigate all the abandon projects left by the immediate past government of Jang and the  sub-standard ones.
