Plateau Assembly Majority Leader, Hon. Daniel Faces Threat and Alleged Attempted Assassination By Alleged Political Forces That Wants Him To Resign

Tension mounts as Governor Simon Lalong has insisted calling on the new majority leader Hon Jonathan Daniel to resign or face persecution from the affairs of the APC in Plateau state.

Universalreportersng.com learnt that the Governor has said that the position of majority leader that has been rezoned to central zone of Plateau state must go to the Member representing Mangu South constituency, Hon Emmanuel Dakas to instead of the current person occupying it.

Sources told this medium that the new majority leader Hon Jonathan Daniel has been facing pressures, threats and just four days ago it was alleged that he escaped an attempted assignation, all this, universalreportersng.com findings shows that it is in a bid for him to step down as Majority leader.

It was gathered by this medium that there has been series of nocturnal and closed doors meetings held at different locations with top government and APC officials following the Governor order which is aimed at forcing the new majority leader to resign or face wrath of the party.

Universalreportersng.com added that the governor also accused the majority leader that he was brought by Hon George Daika who is a governorship aspirant of People Democratic Party ,PDP ,to cause crisis to his 2019 ambition .

A member of the House who pleaded anonymity told universalreportersng.com that the rule of the House shows that it has the right to choose their leaders themselves without any interference, and then intimate the party after that, has seen the governor who was a former speaker that knowns the rule of the House, has allegedly become so desperate not to allow the law to follow the right way.

This medium also gathered that some of the House members are facing threats and intimidation to back down and support the governor to achieve his desire, it is not left to be seen if they yield to the antics and cajole of the Governor and do his bidding.
