In his interview with our medium at Old JUTH to herald the independent Day celebration, the provost reeled out some of his major achievements in office when he resumed work.
Mr Bako Danlami who was ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ as ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐บ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ก๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ.(๐๐ข๐๐ก๐๐ก) says his 3rd years in office witness tremendous success as the provost of the college with so many success story in the areas of academic.

Mr Danlami says, the ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐บ, is one of the oldest college in Nigeria, which has produced who is who in nursing profession in the country, we have commissioners ,permanent secretaries ,Directors from this institution .
The college has come a long way our students are currently practicing in Canada and they are everywhere across the world .
According to him, the college now producing 150 graduates annually including midwifery and in basic nursing but we are working hard for the college to get approval as degrees awarding institution .
๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฏ๐ผ disclosed that the school basic nursing was integrated into general nursing apart from their final exams they also write professional exams to qualify them into practice.
He stated that despite the challenges faced by the staff and students ,he came in as an insider which gave him the experience to surmount some of the major challenges and immediate needs of the college.
Danlami explained further that when he came on board the problem of hostel accommodation was one of the major challenges so he wrote to the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to help in providing them with decent office and accommodation for the staff to operate and the governor graciously granted the approval.
We ensure that there is stable and steady light within the campus , however, the problem we are experiencing was high tariff where the light bills continue to increase so we had installed solar panels inside the school premises and in all the classes including the Hostel to reduce constant outage.
We were still paying high tariff so that prompted the college to embark on the installation of the solar energy, so that the students can continue studying uninterrupted,and before then we had the challenges of water supply because the perennial water scarcity was also a big problem but the Governor also met the need of the students.
However, in one of the visit of Mr Governor the students stopped him and he swiftly responded through the chief of staff and four boreholes were sang which addresses the water issue.
Danlami stressed that the issues of staff office the government approved for the renovation of the abandoned buildings which was now put to use and inview of the steady development our staff are now undergoing degrees and master program.
