PHCNPensioners of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to revisit the sale agreement of the company as part of the efforts to sanitise the power sector and save funds for the country

Speaking in Gombe while making case for their unpaid pensions and arrears, Alhaji Balogun said on behalf of the other pensioners, that the call was necessary as “PHCN buildings and the National Integration Power Project (NIPP) were not included in the agreement”.

He said PHCN pensioners were in penury and suffering as a result of their unpaid pension because they do not have money to meet their financial needs.

“We pensioners are in great financial difficulty because of the non-payment of our pension and arrears as most of us do not have alternative means of income and cannot even pay our children’s school fees.

Mr. President needs to know that PHCN pensioners have not been paid their pensions for December 2014, August and September 2015”, Alhaji added.

He however, cried to the President to prevail on the authorities of the company to pay the pension and all arrears owed their retirees and bail them out of penury they presently face.
