Pensioners Laud Verification Exercise By PITAD

PTAD-Logo-ArcThe ongoing verification exercise of retired Customs, Immigration, prisons Personnel in Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi Gombe and Yobe states by Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate [PITAD] has been described as the best organized exercise.

A Retired Deputy Comptroller of Customs Alhaji Zanna Aji Maina, District Head of Wuntakuyi in Chibok local government Area of Borno state has made the commendation in an interview with Journalists at police officers mess venue of the exercise in Bauchi

He said: “This is the first time verification exercise is done the way it should be done. I retired in May 2004, I have been attending this exercise, and this is the first time chairs are provided for us to sit in well organ and even served food and water to drink.

Zanna said “the exercise which begins today Monday it has been fast and smooth, adding that, since the coming on board of PTAD it has been success and good for pensioners.

The retired Custom officer commended the federal government for coming up with the new scheme, ‎ I come to Bauchi yesterday as you can see I done with the exercise. ”

A retired comptroller Prisons Mallam Sani W Biu   retired in 1996 said, “I have attended verification exercises for about 7 times before now, it used to be difficult and uninteresting exercise but this exercise appeared to be the most organize one, the arrangements the cue no stress ‎people do it within some minutes and go back to their homes is really organised we want to Commend the organisers for that”

A lady Aishatu Muazu retired inspector prisons service from Adamawa state said the exercise was not tiring like before “It used to be tiring and people used to stand for hours without adequate attention, people used to faint during this exercise before, but here, we are given seat and even water and food to eat;

She said I retired from prisons service in 2006 since then the exercise used to though if you don’t know somebody you will stay for days but one seems to be transformed the exercise. The Staff of PTAD are friendly to us, I plead they should continue this way and sustained it ”.
