PDP Secretary Board of Trustees ,senator Walid Jibrin said the PDP stand the chance of clinching the gubernatorial seat in next month election ,In an interview he asserted that the party is at the advantage position to win all the seats in the state.
Jibrin opined that the PDP has all the machinery in place to spring surprises, He affirmed that the state remind a PDP state, Senator Walid Jibrin who was the chairman of the president visit to the state buttressed that Lafia and Keffi stadium are ready for the president’s rally.
Fielding question on the recent skirmishes by hoodlums during the PDP presidential campaign rally to Katsina and Sokoto state, The BOT called on youth in the state to conduct themselves.
“Our youth in Nasarawa state are discipline and I know the cacophony in those states would not be replicated, we will get to all the political parties to advice youth to eschew rancour “Said Walid Jibrin.
Ahead of the campaign rally of the presidential flag-bearer of the PDP to Nasarawa state, the opposition party has set-up a 9 man committee to ensure the smooth visit of the president to the state.
The nine man committee was headed by senator Walid Jibrin, secretary Board of Trustees, The state Deputy governor, Damishe Luka Barau, Others Bar.John Mathew, The running mate of the gubernatorial candidate Chris Mamman,a governorship aspirant in 2015 election Hajiya Ramatu Bala Halilu who was recently appointed as special Adviser on women affairs . Professor Onje Gye-wado,ex deputy governor, A two time senator, Abubakar Sodangi and Hon.Ishaq Kana, member House of representative respectively.
Other coordinators were also inaugurated in the thirteen Local governments, Jibrin said preparation are at top gear for the campaign rally which was slated for 27/2/2015 in Lafia,The state capital.
The chairman of the committee, senator Walid called on people of the state to remain resolute and calm during and after the visit.
The state deputy governor called on party supporters to conduct themselves, The optimistic deputy governor full of enthusiasm assured party followers that the party would mark a landmark success in the general election.
The embattled deputy governor described the ongoing media hype by the ruling APC in the state as an unguarded utterance against the PDP, The deputy governor said the state belong to PDP and the party would reclaim the state in next month election.
