Elders of People Democratic Party in Plateau State have appealed to aggrieved members to join Sen. Jonah Jang, Sen Jeremiah. Useni and Beni Lar led group to move the state forward.
The PDP leadership in Plateau State urged its true members to disregard a purported re-registration of its supporters by a faceless group by the name concerned PDP Elders.
In dismissing the call as a fraud by desperate politicians who woefully lost elections from the Ward, LGA, State and Zonal congresses, the Plateau State Publicity Secretary, Hon. John Telpark Akans KSM hinted that security personnel, INEC and other Civil Society Groups were visibly present to observe the free, fair, smooth and successful elections without hitches.
Akans described the action of the faceless group as a mere distraction and should not be taken seriously.
He harped that the new EXCO of the PDP is totally committed to the rebuilding of the party as well as reconciling true aggrieved members and not half PDP and half APC members.
The PDP sent a stern warning to all those who want to test their resolve to have a rethink because of the consequences of their action.
You will recall that the Plateau State PDP successfully had its Ward, LGA, State and Zonal Congresses on the 30th of April, 5th of May, 10th of May and the 14th of May, 2016 respectively.
The National Convention of the party has been fixed for 21st May, 2016 but a group of renegades and fifth columnists in the PDP are planning to hold a parallel convention against the constitution of the party just to satisfy the monies collected from their paymasters to distance the emerging and resurrecting PDP from slumber and the dismal performance of 2015.
The ongoing Nigerian Labour Congress National strike is making the PDP more popular as Nigerians are regretting trusting the APC led government of President Muhammadu Buhari for un-kept promises which has led to the serious hardships the country is going through.
