The Rally of the Peoples Democratic Party held at the Place of the Emir of Keffi turned rowdy as supporters of Senator of Senator Abubakar Sodango stabbed a Supporter of Hon. Aliyu Wadada with a machete.
The Peaceful rally was turned bloody as party supporters, including invited journalists took to their heels for scampering for safety.
However, the timely intervention of the party chieftains to quell the escalation of the internal rumpus between the supporters of the Politicians seeking for the same elective positions in Nasarawa West Senatorial zone.
Senator Sodangi is a former Senator who is representing Nasarawa West for three consecutive times before he was ousted by former governor Abdullahi Adamu during the party primaries, also Hon. Aliyu Wadada who represented Kokona, Keffi, Karu for two consecutive times was also ousted by the APC are all contesting for the seat of the Senate of Nasarawa West under the PDP.
The quest for who will clinch the seat of Nasarawa West remain a cause to concern in both the PDP and the APC, in the PDP the likes of Sodangi under the PDP would slug it out with Ishaq Kana and Hon. Aliyu Wadada respectively.
While in the APC, the ruling party in the state the likes of Abdullahi Adamu would clash with his arch rival, Retired General Ahmed Aboki whom the former governor defeated in the 2011 election.
The Political turf would be quite interesting as any effort by the two political parties to foist some aspirants on voters will spell doom to the parties. Only time will tell.
