PDP Scribe: I have Great Respect for the law

The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prof Wale Oladipo has declared that his recent action was not intended to undermine the authority of any agency charged with enforcement of rule of law in our country

“Being a law abiding citizen, I felt compelled to seek protection of my fundamental human rights in the face of incessant phone calls and text messages” ,he said.

He made the above clarifications in reactions to reporters’ questions on activities of the EFCC.

Speaking on the controversy surrounding the emergence of new party chairman, he declared the absolute support of himself and his colleagues on the working committee for the new National Chairman.

“The new chairman means for the party and very soon, the fortunes of the party will improve under the new leadership, he said.

On the tenure of the new chairman, he said the national executive committee of the party will meet on Monday to take a definite stand.

He charged party members to remain united and continued to play the role of constructive and responsible opposition.
