A group under the aegis of e- support group, in Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged the leaders to intervene at the Local, State and National levels of the party, to wade into the dispute still lingering between, Sen. Jonah David Jang and Sen. Jeremiah Useni, as it might spread among their supporters if a measure to control it before the 2023 general elections.
The group in a press statement, dated 28th February 2022, made available to journalists in Jos urged the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, to prevail on the two gladiators, Sen. Jang and Sen. Useni, to set aside their differences and work for the victory of PDP ahead of the 2023 polls.
In a press statement jointly signed by, Isa Musa Kwarshak, as Chairman and Nafor Mafulul Sylvanus, as Secretary of E-SUPPORT GROUP, says “We are therefore on this note and base on the situation on the ground makes a passionate appeal to the National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, to immediately convey a meeting of stakeholders to put an end to the internal crises.
The two leaders of our great Party in Plateau State, Sen. J. T. Usieni and Sen. Jonah Jang should foster unity and allow peace to reign, as no political party can advance without the overwhelming support of youths and elders.
“We urge the National Chairman, to call on them to make concessions and sacrifices where necessary for inclusiveness of all members in the affairs of the chapter in the overall interest of the chapter.
“This action is taken, we believe, would complement the personal efforts already put in by, Governor Nyesom Wike, during his recent visit to Plateau State and the party leadership”.
The group took time to congratulate the candidate of the PDP, Hon. Musa Agah, for winning the Jos-North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State seat, but swiftly advised members of the chapter not to be carried away by the victory.
