PDP Commences Mobilization For PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku In 774 LGAs Ahead 2019 Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Local Government chairmen across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria has commenced mobilization of voters for the Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar ahead of 2019 Presidential elections.

 

The National Coordinator for PDP local government party chairmen said they believe in Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and that his political and economic experience that will change the fortunes of Nigerians.

 

National Chairman of the Forum  Alhaji Idris  Gana and the publicity  secretary  of the group  Jwe Phillip Gwom in a joint press statement issued and  copies made  available to newsmen in Jos, said they’re going by the way and manner the People’s Democratic Party conducted its Presidential  Primaries  last month  at Port Harcourt, the Rivers state  capital which was free and fair,  eventually  its produced the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar  as its presidential flagbearer  for 2019 polls.

 

The statement stated that the supporters of PDP at the grassroots in 774 local government councils in the country have reached out to grassroots supporters at the grassroots to drum support for Atiku Presidency come 2019.

 

According to the statement, the party  is one  party with mass followership  across the country and as such the leadership of the party at the national, states  and local government areas  have resolved to work  as a team with one mission to deliver the people of Nigerians from the grip of All Progressive Congress government that has failed in the last 4 years to deliver and fulfill the promises  they made to  the people of Nigeria .

 

‘’The people are going through  untold hardship  at both urban and rural areas  across the states of the federal  with no effort made by President Buhari’s government  to make life  comfortable for the people of this country ‘’

 

The duo stressed that the electorates at the local government areas across the country have expressed their readiness to take their destiny in their hands by voting for a change of government come 2019 to have a new President that will come on board with economic programs that will turn around the fortunes of the people of Nigeria.

 

According to them, what the people at the local government areas are craving for is a free and fair conduct of the 2019 general elections to produce the people’s choice at the Presidential, National, governorship and state assembly elections, warning that INEC must live above board to deliver as promised to the people of Nigeria.

 

‘’ let us warn here that the voters at the local government areas know who  they want to be their next President,  governors and representatives  at both national and state Assemblies elections, warning  that  any  attempt to rig  the polls  would be resisted  by the voters ‘’

 

The PDP grass root leaders accused the ruling APC government of President Buhari of not living up to the expectations of the people that voted the government into power in 2015, saying 2019 will be a different ball game that Atiku Presidency economic blueprint when unfolded will turn around the economic fortunes   of the people in all the states of the federation.

 

They called on the electorates to keep faith with promises of PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to deliver dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people, assuring that all promises made by the party presidential candidate of the PDP will be met within a short period of coming into power.

 

They again congratulated PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Abubakar  for emerging  as PDP Presidential primaries in a contest that was adjudged as the best  free and fair party primaries  ever held in  the history  of democratic process in Nigeria, adding that  millions of Nigerians have been convinced that  the man who has what it takes to take them to the next level is  Atiku Abubakar Presidency  considering his wealth of political experience   over the years.
