A Chieftain of the People Democratic Party ,PDP,in Ahollou Ward of Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon Achigak Atunki Alias Action has accused the Naraguta tribe of hijacking the PDP exco by refusing other ethnic tribes to participate actively in the process of electing credible candidates of their choice.
He said the major problems of PDP across the wards is the manner in which the ward Excos was hijacked by traditional rulers who continue to create disaffection and are gradually destroying the progress of the party.
Speaking in an interview at Jos North, Atunki Action explained that one of their major challenges in Hollou ward was the dominance of a particular tribe.
According to him, they face numerous challenges of how to deliver the polling units to the candidate of their choice but they would vehemently resist the call for rotation of position.
He employed the APC government to address the lingering insecurity bedeviling the country by ending banditry, kidnapping, and farmers, herders clashes in Nigeria.
Atunki Action urged the PDP family to sheaths their sword and work toward delivering the party in the forthcoming bye-election in Jos North, Bassa federal constituency as INEC will soon declare the seat vacant.
He also identified one of the PDP major problems associated with the PDP at the wards levels across the country on how some groups claim to be the only people to be recognized in politics.
An action called on Nigerian politicians to practice the tenets of democracy and emulate the spirit of sportsmanship.
He disclosed that PDP is the largest political party in Africa so those at the helms of affairs should respect each other wishes in building a lasting legacy.
