On Monday, Feb.21th 2022, the Imo PDP campaign train was ambushed and attacked by hoodlums who wielded assorted weapons at Ntu in Ngor-Okpala.

Members and supporters of PDP at the area during the movement sustained various degrees of injuries, and campaign vehicles were smashed.

That was a few days to the bye-election for NgorOkpala State Constituency slated for Sat.26th Feb.

The obvious show of shame further confirms that democracy in Imo State is seriously jeopardized under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

What is really bizarre and unacceptable too is that the attackers, as the victims and eyewitnesses alleged, openly spoke of their membership of the APC and affinity with the APC Candidate for forthcoming polls in Ngor-Okpala, Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP,  should please immediately carry out the arrest of Blyden Amajirionwu, and his cohorts for a painstaking interrogation, investigation, and arraignment to stem the tide of violence in Ngor-Okpala.

Meanwhile, Hon.Blyden Amajirionwu, when contacted on his telephone to get his own chronicles, described the news against his campaign team by the members of Imo PDP as a fallacy.

The Imo APC Ngor-Okpala Bye-election Candidate, Okenze Amajirionwu, therefore, called on the PDP to come forward with their proof on the allegation leveled against me.
