Royal father of Wamba presenting souvenir to ANA chairman Muktar Wakeel

Oriye Rindre,the paramount ruler of Wamba, Justice Lawal Musa Nagogo said a sustained implementation of sound educational policies have been identified as key to attaining transformation of the society.
The royal father described ANA as a reservoir of knowledge whose members must be supported and encouraged to develop and cascade their ideas in writing for societal growth, justice, peace and overall development.
He assured of his resolve to always identify with the noble objectives of the association and promised to participate in the proposed workshop.
The stakeholders whom include Chiroman Wamba, Alhaji Suleiman Nagogo and the Provost College of Education, Akwanga, Dr.Rebecca Isaac Umaru stated these in their separate remarks when Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) paid them courtesy/advocacy visits today at Wamba and Akwanga respectively.
To this end, stakeholders are enjoined to come up with avenues that would accelerate the transmission of new trends of teaching and learning to students and future generation.
On his part, Chiroman Wamba, Alhaji Suleiman Musa Nagogo said ANA’s role in the development of education is crucial, hence the need for improved partnership and support from stakeholders.
He reflected on some of the modest contributions he has made towards educational transformation of his community and promised to remain a partner of the association.
Provost College of Education who was represented by Deputy Provost Administration, mallam Mohammed AlHassan applauded ANA for carrying out creative development of the education sector through the well articulated activities implemented and commitment of members.
She tasked the association to provide a roadmap for creativity and educational advancement through the application of the genres of literature.
Earlier, state ANA chairman, Alhaji Mukhtar S. Wakeel (Gado da Masun Wamba) said the association would continue to seek partnership with stakeholders that appreciate and pursue knowledge _ driven activities for improved society.
He disclosed that arrangement has reached advanced stage for the successful hosting of the 2016 ANA/Yusuf Ali creative writing workshop for tertiary institutions in the state.
He identified traditional institutions and institutions of higher learning as centres of excellence that provide the verve for accelerated development in the sector and said the association would engage them and other stakeholders to achieve its objectives.
In separate vote of thanks, Chairman Emeritus, Sumaila Umaisha, Assistant secretary, Abdullahi Abdullhahid and Azige Louis Lewandowski harped on the need for collective efforts towards actualising the dream of sustained growth in education across the country.
