Nasarawa State Deputy Governor who represented the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has admonished those vested with the duty of sharing palliative to ensure rice and maize given to the people reached all the 142 polling units in Doma town and 72 poling units in Ekye Development Area.
He gave the warning during the sharing of Federal Government palliative in Doma Local Government and Ekye Development Area respectively.
He warned that the sharing should get across to all the people despite political differences.
He insisted that the palliative must reach the registered people with disabilities in all the polling units, He added that the essence of the distribution of 7 50Kg rice and 2 bags of Maize is to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The items are rice and bags of maize, You are aware of the N5bm from the Federal Government, we have gotten 2bn and N1bn grains, Adding that the 7 bags of rice and 2 bags of maize are meant for 20 persons in a polling unit”.
The Deputy during the sharing in Doma said the items would be augmented with N7.6m which would be shared to 142 polling units Doma and 72 polling units in Doma South respectively.
He emphasized that palliative is not for civil servants but rather for those suffering in anguish and deprivation, Saying the State has made proper and special arrangements for civil servants in the State.
Ibrahim Usman Obiya from Sabon Gari electoral ward in an interview during the sharing exercise, called on the Federal Government to reverse its decision by going to the status quo instead of the sharing of food items.
“I was given 7 bags of 50 kg rice and 2 mazes, then what happened to the remaining 480 electorates at Kofar Ibrahim Akuki polling unit, The President should allow things to happen, The economy is in shamble, He added.

Also speaking, His Royal Highness The Andoma of Doma,Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah appreciated the Federal Government-led administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for extending his hands of benevolence to the hapless people in the society.
The Ogbole Gi Doma Elder John Ogah who represented the Paramount Ruler of Domiciled on the concerned authority to come to the rescue of the citizenry by adding more palliative by making it periodically.
Ashikeni Ibrahim, In his reaction, said the President should as a matter of national importance revert to the status quo, That is going back to the old price of the pump price of petroleum.
He in addition maintained that everything in the country is grounded to a halt, Saying the President should listen to the cry of the masses especially those that brought him to the exalted seat.
Our Correspondent can authoritatively reveal that almost all the sharing is mainly family and friends’ affairs despite the warning by the State Deputy Governor, that gullible officials were involved in the diversion of the items.
