Over 60 Widows, Orphans Get N500,000 From Zayoda

The Association of Za’ar youth Development in Bogoro Local Government Area, Bauchi State has distributed five hundred thousand to over 60 widows and orphans as well as vulnerable children.

 

The chairman of the association, Comrade Ayuba Daniel Gyara said that the aim of the donation is to help the beneficiaries, particularly those who lost their relatives due to religious crisis that affected Tafawabalewa and Bogoro Local Government Area in the past.

 

The secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Barrister Kashim Ibrahim, who was represented by the Special Adviser on security matters to Governor Bala Mohamed of the state, Rtd General Yake Marcus thanked the youth for the gesture.

 

Kashim advised the beneficiaries to make good use of money, promising to forward the issue to the Bauchi State Government for further intervention.

 

On his part, the Executive Chairman of Bogoro local government area, Hon. Iliya Habila commended the effort of the youth group towards the promotion of peace as well as reaching out to the neediest.

 

The Chairman announced the donation of an additional N5000 to each of the beneficiaries and charged them to use the money judiciously.

 

He called on village heads, Ardos, and other traditional rulers to keep a close watch in their communities and ensure that they make inquiries of any stranger found in their axis to avoid security breaches.

 

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Manta Dadi, thanked the ZAYODA for reaching out to them, commending the executive chairman of Bogoro who she said has been supportive to any occasion that concerns the vulnerable.

 

She assured them that they will use the money given to them in a good and respectful way.

 

The CAN chairman of Bogoro local government, Rev. Father Vincent Bature gave a goodwill message to both religions on the theme: The teaching of Christianity on peaceful coexistence while the chief Imam of Tafawabalewa central Mosque, Mal. Ado Faizu speaks on “Islam on peaceful coexistence”.

 

Both religious leaders made a clarion call for the citizens love one another and avoid any form of religious fight.
