Players and officials of Remo Stars have been rewarded with N10m by Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for winning the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title, Prompt News reports.
Osimhen made the donation after speaking with head coach of the team, Daniel Ogunmodede on Tuesday.
The players will get N5m, while the technical crew members will share N5m.
Remo Stars claimed the title for the first time after beating Niger Tornadoes 1-0.
The crucial victory moved Remo Stars to 68 points after 35 matches, having recorded 21 wins, five draws, and nine losses.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s side hold a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Rivers United, who sit on 58 points from 16 wins, 10 draws, and nine defeats.
This title triumph marks a historic achievement not just for the club but also for the South West region.
