Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has threatened to report Senator George Akume to the Supreme Assembly of the Tiv Area Traditional Council over accusations that the state government is behind killings in the state.

He stated this today at Tyulen in Guma Local Government Area during a funeral oration at the burial of Mama Roseline Adzuu, mother of Member representing Guma in the state Assembly, Mr. Terseer Adzuu and the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Administration, Frank Adzuu.

The Governor noted that since the senator had the gut to tell the president that militia herdsmen were not behind the massacre of Benue people, he had adequate knowledge about the killings and should explain to the Benue traditional council in details.

He charged the living to clearly define where they belong while alive in order not to have their dead bodies dragged when they die.

Former Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam, also consoled the deceased family and prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.

Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Titus Uba, stated that Mama Roseline’s death was a celebration of life as she had fulfilled her desire on earth by raising a God fearing home.

Reverend Father Timothy Igbudu of Gboko Diocese in a homily, reminded Christians to note that after death, there was judgment and prepare for the last day.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Administration, Mr. Frank Adzuu while speaking on behalf of the family, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his support to the family in their bereavement as well as friends and political associates for their various support since the death of their mother.
