The counsel to Oluwo of Iwoland,Yemi Abolusodun esq, today told an Osun state High Court that the monarch has abided by last week court order, stopping removal of Sheikh Imran Adio as the Otun Ajanasi of Iwoland.

At the resumed hearing of the case, the lawyer briefed the court that his client has complied with the court order and that the monarchy has not appointed any new Otun Ajanasi.

The lawyer told the court further that Sheikh Adio was allowed to pray at the Iwo Central Mosque without any let or hindrance.

Justice S.O Falola had last week ordered that the monarchy should not remove Sheikh Adio as Otun ajanasi and that nobody should disturb the Sheikh from performing his role as the titled islamic chief.

The judge further confirmed the monarchy’s compliance with his order by asking the respondent lawyer the status of the compliance.

Adio’s lawyer ,Kayode Olowolagba esq,in his response confirmed only that his counsel prayed at the central mosque without elaborating further.

The monarchy’s lawyer however brought a motion for the transfer of the case out of the hosting court.

The judge adjourned the hearing of the motion to July 4 even as he questioned authorities cited by the monarchy’s lawyer.

The judge said the authorities cited by the defendant’s lawyer has to do with jurisdiction which he said was not applicable in this case.

Oluwo had announced the removal of Sheikh Adio as Otun Ajanasi during the Eid celebration following which the Sheikh accused the monarch of unprintable assault on his matrimonial home as the reason for the purported removal.
