Ogun: Rights Group Seeks Urgent Intervention of IGP, PSC, Others Over Illegal Detention By F-SARS, Magbon
- As group wants fake monarch to be declared wanted
A human rights group, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has called for the urgent intervention of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the authority of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Assistant Inspector General of Police, the National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC) and other concerned authorities over illegal detention of Mr. Kolawole Olaleye, a young Barbing Saloon shop owner in Ihunbo, Ipokia Local Government area of Ogun State, by the men of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), Magbon in the State.
CHRSJ also alleged that the Police officers attached to F-SARS, arrested Olaleye on trump- up charge and vowed to eliminate him if his family refused to pay the sum of N2500, 000 for his bail and this made his wife, Mrs. Janet Kolawole Olaleye and other members of his family to be running helter- skelter to source for money to save the life of their bread winner.
Investigation conducted by the human rights organization (CHRSJ) revealed that Mr. Olaleye had been arrested by the Officers of F-SARS, Magbon led by one Officer Bello with Phone Number-08036110857 on the order of one Mr. Joseph Olamide Adesiyan, a known smuggler, bunkerer and land grabber, who is illegally parading himself as Onihunbo of Ihunbo in the local government area of the State.
Investigation further revealed that the fake monarch, Mr. Adesiyan alleged Olaleye of being part of those who thrown stone to his car, but genuine information revealed that truly some under aged children who were playing with the stone , mistakenly thrown stone to the tyre of his(Adesiyan) moving vehiccle.
Adesiyan urged the F-SARS Magbon to arrest those children with Olaleye who was having Barber shop around the area but when Mr. Adesiyan got to know that those children were children of his supporters on the ancient town Obaship tussle, he told the men of F-SARS to release them on bail except Barber Kolawole Olaleye since 15th of October, 2019 for being the son of one of his opponents on the Obaship tussle till the time of writing this report.
Another source from the Police (F-SARS) informed the CHRSJ that 26 people have been penciled down for the arrest in the town (Ihunbo) and among them were; Ojo Jelili, Adeosun Adekunle,Fadairo Ojo,Ibrahim Aina, Jimoh Lekan, Ibrahim Oro, Babatunde Akeem and Fadiro Sola, noting that that they had earlier arrested two of them on the order of Mr. Adesiyan which they paid N100,000 each for their bail from the same F-SARS.
It added that it has been another means for Mr. Adesiyan to extort his entire opponent on the Obaship tussle to weaken them and he (Adesiyan) has been doing this illegality in collaboration with the men of F-SARS, Magbon, adding that Adesiyan and F-SARS team already have like mind Magistrates in the Magistraterial division of Ogun State where they were perpetrating their evil deeds against the innocent citizens of the ancient town of Ihunbo.
It would be recalled that the same Adesiyan had earlier ordered the illegal arrest of innocent four DJs that were anchoring a birthday programme on July 7th, 2019 at BEEBEE Hotel in Ihunbo, thereby extorting their parents in return.
Meanwhile, speaking on the development, CHRSJ’s Executive Chairman , Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman who strongly condemned the action of the fake monarch (Adesiyan) and the men of F-SARS Magbon, in its entirety, called for immediate and unconditional release of law abiding citizen, Kolawole Olaleye and also call for disciplinary action against those alleged men of F-SARS by the Police authority in the country, explaining that the group may not hesitate to write the Police authorities in the country to inform them of unprofessional conduct of the said F-SARS officers.

Rights Organizations (COHCRO), wanted the fake monarch to be declared wanted by the security agents over illegal allegation against the innocent citizens of the State, expressing that Adesiyan with his aides-in- crime, increased the tempo of their nefarious activities as a result of closure of land boarders in the area by the Federal Government which thwrted their illegal smuggling businesses.
