Obuh Ambition Suffers Set Back As Gov. Uduaghan Dumps Him For Another Candidate

Following the rejection of Sir Anthony Obuh as the governorship candidate of Delta State by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and subsequent directive to stick to a popular candidate who can win the election, Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan has reluctantly picked unknown Charles Emetulu as his anointed one.
According to sources who are in the know of the plot, Charles Emetulu who served as the Commissioner for Power and Energy in the State is the chosen one. Secrets Reporters gathered that Emetulu was asked to resign his appointment on 15th Wednesday of October 2014, to enable him contest the guber race, which he promptly did.
SR learnt that a long meeting was held by the inner caucus of Uduaghan where Obuh was told to step down for Emetulu at the eleventh hour, so as to take other aspirants by surprise and give Emetulu psychological edge. He was specifically told that he is not wanted by the Presidency and members of PDP NEC, but would be compensated with the position of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG)

Insiders are of the view that all these political pawn played by Uduaghan is to get most popular candidate, Senator Ifaenyi Okowa out of the race, as analyst believes that unless a popular candidate of his pedigree is anointed, Okowa will sweep the PDP primaries in a landslide. Emetulu who is now the anointed one is ironically not a popular candidate who can give men like Okowa, Omo-Agege and Olejeme a run for their money or popularity.
Emetulu is expected to pick the PDP form next week in Wadata Plaza, where he will officially declare his intention.
