Taraba State has witnessed an increase in the deployment of National Youth Service members posted to serve in the one year mandatory integration programme.

The agency in Taraba State said at the official opening ceremony of the 2018 Batch ‘C’ Corps members that the number had increased to 2,250, due to the peace being enjoyed in the state.

Florence Yaakugh, the Taraba State Coordinator, said all programmes at the orientation camp were mandatory, because they were carefully packaged to communicate certain messages to the youth’s corps members.

She admonished them to brace up for the challenges of the new environment they would be exposed to, hence the drilling and lectures, as well as skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development programmes in the week long programme.

The Taraba State NYSC Coordinator encouraged them to remember always that “service to the nation comes with great sense of responsibility and absolute dedication to duty” while urging them to desist from vices capable of jeopardizing their service year.
