The Jigawa state council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists has set an Independent Credentials Committee to conduct the election on the 5th of April 2022.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary of the Committee Alhassan Aliyu Muhammad and distributed to the media in Dutse.
The Committee has informed that the sales of forms for the interested candidates will commence on the 14th of February 2022 and it will be closed on the 28th of the same month.
The statement noted that the prices of forms have been reduced by 17%, 20%, and 25%, respectively, where those interested in the positions of Chairman and Secretary will buy their forms at the cost of N25,000, while those that are interested in the positions of Vice Chairman and Treasurer will pick their forms at the rate of N20,000.
Similarly, the other position for the Assistant Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Auditor has a discount of 25% in which all interested candidates are to purchase their forms at the cost of N15,000 before the closing period at the NUJ s secretariat in Dutse.
