NSCDC Organizes Training For School Pupils To End Rising Crisis In Plateau

The Plateau state Command of the Nigerian Security & Civil Defense Corps has organized seminar and lectures for primary school pupils on danger of religious and ethnic crisis.

The Public Relation Officer, DSC. Naomi Cishak made this known on Tuesday in a press statement in Jos.

She said, in a bid to curb ethnic and religious crisis in Plateau state, the Nigeria security and civil Defense corps is organizing seminar and lectures for primary school pupils established in the state.

According to the statement, the Commandant of the corps Mr. Solomon Olasupo after hosting association of heads of federal establishment in Plateau state in his office, maintains that there is a need to nip the menace of religious and ethnic crisis in the bud, to avoid any ugly situation from cropping up.

He cautioned that the strength of a society depends on peace and to meet this, the younger generation will have to be molded in aspects of peace building, religion and ethnic tolerance.

” There is a need to educate pupils in nursery and primary schools because a good time to train the future generation is now that they are at their tender stage”.

Alh Musa Abdullahi Nyalum the President of the Association solicited the support of the corps. In the area of security, saying such service is key to the peaceful coexistence of the people on the Plateau.

Nyalum further stressed on the need for the corps to discharge its mandate effectively are to secure lives and property in the state and the Nation at large.
