NSCDC Orders Clamp Down On Illegal Vandals, Miners

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Alhaji Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu has instructed all commandants across the country to ensure they protect all the public facilities against criminal elements masquerading to wreak havoc.

 

Speaking to journalists on the Plateau state command chapter of NSCDC successes on the ongoing achievements, Commandant, Olasupo Solomon says, the command is working round the clock to fish out the perpetrators of heinous act.

 

He warned those vandalizing critical infrastructures to stay away from the action by calling the general public to report anyone found in possession of equipment.

 

According to Solomon, the command uncover illegal fuel tide inside polyethylene bags for onwards distribution to marketers to create artificial scarcity of the product loaded in sachet bags.

 

Solomon Olasupo lamented the way and manner these elements operate by diverting 300 litters which was constructed illegally using Keke Napep in uploading the fuel forcing people buy it at the rate of N195 per a litter.

 

He expresses sadness with the behavior of some marketers who endanger the lives of people as the command close down 13 filling stations selling above the government price.

 

“We have promise to make it our daily routine to keep surveillance on the activities of these illegal until this civil populace enjoy the public facilities on the Plateau” ,he explained.

 

We are calling on the citizens of the state that if they notice any criminal movement they should let them get information, now those that are found diverting the lay down law will face the law.

 

The NSCDC in Plateau state are its environs are keeping surveillance in all the public facilities including post offices, NEPA, buildings as our duty to protect critical infrastructure transformers, railway, and cables respectively.

 

Solomon says ,the challenges they are facing is with the civil populace who have refused to reveal the identity of the criminal as we are ready to keep all information secret and confidential for the people safety .

 

He maintains that some marketers keep the fuel inside Jerry Can so we are offering our number for quick response: 09077000077, 09031550552 as hotlines because the marketers are now complaining that they bought the fuel at expensive price.

 

NSCDC Commandant warned those marketers who are involve in this illegal business to stay away from the business if they cannot sell the fuel within the market price.

 

He accused the illegal marketers for compromising the law by creating room for hawkers to strive as our men sight them displaying
