About 190 newly deployed recruit of the Nigeria Police Force has been undergoing training at the Plateau State Police Command in Plateau state.

He said the orientation workshop which is organized is to refresh their knowledge of police work by preparing those constables to give out their best.

CP Adie cautioned that; “the positive aspect of discharging you to your various duty posts is to be an ambassador of the force because Police is a legitimate organization where serious-minded persons are recruited.

He warned them against insubordination but advised them to always take orders from their superior because of seniority which he said the procedure is very clear; “so we want you to conduct yourselves so that you don’t see yourself out of office.”

Adie stressed that; “posted officers should see themselves as servants to their host community not to turn around and begin to intimidate, harass them.”

According to him, the orientation is to intimate them on the existing challenges on the Plateau as well as another issue within the command such as human rights, intellectual gathering discipline, court conduct arrest, and detention.

He believed that the 3 days orientation will be knowledgeable enough to add value to their wealth of experience in the system.

The CP tasks them to tap local knowledge that would essentially boost their mind on practical beginning on community policing so as to impact positively.
