The Executive Chairman of Doma Local Government Council, Honorable Jonathan Okuba Addra has warned Fulanis in the habit of attacking Tivs’ indigenes of Nasarawa State at the border communities of Doma to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
The Chairman, during an interview on Monday morning, said his administration would not condone any act of reprisal attack from neigboring Benue State in Nasarawa State.
The Council Chairman called on the two long-time enemies to bury their hatchet for the overall interest of peace and development, urging them to report any misfortunes to the appropriate authorities, which is either the Local Government or security operatives, for appropriate actions instead of shedding blood.
“I was at an Internally Displaced Persons camp at Agyaragu, and I addressed Fulani, Migili, I told Fulanis to stop grazing on farmland”.
The Chairman Doma Local Government confided that Operation Whirl Stroke is aware of the unfolding likewise the Divisional Police Officer of Doma Local Government and his Ekye Administrative Council counterpart.
“I invited the Head of Maji Fulani herders’ settlement, because the name of the Head of the settlement was mentioned during a broad security meeting at Rukubi Community”.
