The Nigeria Institute for Public Relations, NIPR, Plateau State Chapter has disclosed that plans are underway to embark on massive awareness and enlightenment campaign on challenges of leadership policy and underdevelopment of Nigeria.
Barr. Haroun Audu made this disclosure during a press briefing held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Jos, Plateau state.
The Spokesman of NIPR revealed that they undertook research to identify 70% population of youths and women are sub-changed and millions are neglected, particularly in rural areas by urging the government to embark on working toward integrating them into government policy.
He said Nigerian citizens are part and parcel of government and each and everyone has a role to play in addressing the plight of bad governance in our dire country, we must not keep silent about what is happening around our government.
Haroun explained that to midwives the international citizens’ summit for national integration, peace, and security with the theme, “reopening a conversation rebuild trust,” we need to harness the potential of the organization representing the six geopolitical zones of our society.
He stated that the idea is, we want citizens driving professionally empower to deliver on continuity of action of governance in the 6 geopolitical zones which the idea immediately puts sustainable citizen’s idea that would be put together through advocacy.
Barr. Haroun Audu told journalists that the state actors must focus more on investing in meaningful projects that the upcoming generation would ripe the benefit through mutual harmony by working together as a family and fostering the unity of oneness.
According to him, Federal and state must identify the area of security threat and the terrain by putting on ground budgeting policy so as citizens will feel the impact of the government.
