Nigerian Churches Need Total Revival-Group Of Evangelists

Yakubu Busari

A group of Nigerian Evangelists has charged churches to wake up, adding that there is a new revival in the church.

“The church has to wake up and pray for forgiveness, we have failed, the missionaries that came, when they came to my town in Ile life, they set up Seventh Days Adventist Church” medical center free medical services to treat the sick people free of charge “.

The church set up schools and hospitals for their members and the community free of charge.

But today, the case is different as the schools owned by churches are the most expensive ones, Pastor Wale Akintola of Omega Ministry in Jos stated this in an interview with newsmen in Jos during the Independence day celebration held on  1st October 2021 as well as the day to mark his 61st birthday that coincided with the country’s independence.

He appealed to  President Buhari to amend some laws that had no human face as most of the laws currently being used in the country are not only obsolete but are anti-people that only favour the elites in the society.

Pastor Wale further urged the federal government to work assiduously to ensure that the proposed bill, which advocates for independent candidates in an election is signed into law before the  2023 general election in order to give leverage to independent candidate to be voted for in an election without necessarily belonging to any Political party.

He staged a nonviolent March to Hill Station Junction in the company of other clergymen to register their discontent about the country 61 years of nationhood.

According to him, I share the same birthday with this great country Nigeria that informed my happiness. On the achievement of the country after over 6 decades of independence, he said he is very sad that the country has been in darkness since her independence.

This is why we deemed it important to stage this spiritual walk because the spirit controls the physical that is why we come out this morning being the 1st of October to stage the walk and pray for the country.

He said he decided to embark on the venture because, in the past 3 months, I have been having a sleepless night where it was revealed to me by God that there is a need for us to pray for Nigeria, this is why we set out this morning to pray because there is nothing God can’t do.

Speaking on the moral decadence in the society, he blamed it on the new generation churches, where pastors of some churches are having a fleet of jets while some of their members can’t afford three square meals a day.

On the killings in Plateau and Nigeria as a whole, he said everything has its challenges, at the appropriate time, the whole thing will come to an end.

“God revealed to me the solution of the killings in Nigeria at my fingertips,  for security reasons, I cannot say it here now.”

On his part Evangelist, Enahire said I am happy because God is about to do a new thing because He has given us new exploits, that is why he give us a new day.

He said the current happening in the country is an indication that our leaders have failed us.

Quoting from the bible to support his claim, he said in the book of Mathew 28 said, so that we can be able to do things ourselves.

He frowned at a situation where the governor of a state will order that a church should be closed.
