Nigeria In  Comatose, We Are More Divided Now Than During The Civil War -Ex-Minister Dalung Cries Out

The former Minister For Youth and Sports Development, and a Candidate for Langtang North/South Federal Constituency under the Platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Hon. Solomon Selcap Dalung has said, he regretted bringing APC to Plateau, as he apologizes that the people should hold him, Governor Simon Lalong and late General John Shagaya responsible for the mess as  Nigeria is bleeding under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.

He appealed to Nigerians to vote out APC in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 because that is a kick start to the beginning of a true reconciliation process considering the Muslim -Muslim ticket of the APC presidential with his running mate, we are more divided than the Biafra civil war now sinking us into fresh civil war and even though during 1967 that end between the 70s the people are more united.

The monumental corruption in this country had continued to push the nation as the worst underdeveloped country since APC came on board, he stated.

According to him, the introduction of the Muslim, Muslim ticket by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), ahead 2023 General Election in Nigeria has attracted general condemnations from both local and international may not be over soon, as more people continue to see the action by the running party APC, as a time bomb waiting to explode.

Solomon Dalung, who is the Ichu Otarok has said the All Progressives  Congress APC, has declared war on the stability of Nigeria, which is a very dangerous experiment, because, after 2023, Nigeria will not regain its stability.

Solomon who is currently contesting for House of Representatives under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Lantang South Federal Constituency stated this and other burning issues which bothered the state of the nation in an interview with journalists in Jos, Plateau State capital.

Dalung said every Nigerian are now responding to what APC, has done with their Muslim, Muslim presidential ticket, by which they have declared war on the stability of Nigeria as a Nation, and it’s a very dangerous experiment that I hope the country doesn’t go through, because, after 2023, Nigeria will not regain its stability.

He lamented the current state of the nation which the former minister described country as a in bleeding stage.

“The country is bleeding, our economy has also collapsed, and the indices have been admitted by Mr. President, Mohammadu Buhari.

He also frowned at the recent committee set up by the president to investigate those behind the oil theft in the country.

“My problem with the committee set up by Mr. President is that most of the faces I saw there represent those who are supposed to account for official oil theft.”

He described them as armed robbers presiding over an armed robbery case, I don’t think anybody would be convicted, which is more or less the Justice Salami incident that we have committed without a report in the public domain.

He sympathized with Nigeria and Nigerians on the situation we have found ourselves in as the country is more divided now than ever before. Even during the civil war, there was no division like this, the hardship and suffering of the people of Nigeria is monumental and can be summarized as a Nation in a state of comatose.

He lamented the lingering strike of the nation’s university lecturers for more than 6 months now, which he said is wickedness on the political elites, whose children and wards attend private schools and foreign universities.

Dalung further decries that, every week we see our leaders attending the graduation of their son/daughter in London, but only come to Nigeria, to say negotiation with ASUU, has collapsed which is a pick of wickedness.

“When I was admitted into Government Secondary School Kefi, my parents only bought me, was my towel, every other thing was under the expenses of the government.

So, if I lack the moral audacity today to say I will not negotiate with ASUU, God in heaven will only tolerate and leave me to see whether I will repent.

Nobody can convince me why the government can’t negotiate with ASUU, the money we have in this country is enough to meet the demands of the university lecturers twice.”

Dalung further revealed the monumental wastage and corruption going on under the watch of President Mohammadu Buhari administration without any positive steps to arrest it.

“In just one transaction, the Accountant General of the Federation stole 109 million naira, of which we don’t know of other transactions, when talking, he was just laughing, in his mind, he was saying look at these Baboons, we are going to negotiate.”

I must say without an apology that Mr. President is not serious, I am calling on the federal government with a strong voice, he should constitute a more serious committee of Nigerians who are not in government, credible people, Clergy, Traditional Rulers, Youths, Women to negotiate with ASUU, I am very sure it will work.

The former sports minister, however, warned the Buhari-led government saying if the official of the government continues to negotiate with ASUU, nothing much will be achieved it.

“Is just like when we went out for an outreach at Sabon-Rai some years back, as we were preaching, this particular man refused to listen to us, when we asked him why, he said this man that is just preaching to us has just finished drinking with us, why is he coming to preach to us and pass judgment upon us.”

Dalung revealed that he is contesting for the House of Representatives in the 2023 General election to represent the good people of Lantang South Federal Constituency on the platform of the Social Democratic party SDP.

And stressed that the party currently has a presidential candidate, who is more or less like Biblical David when the Israelites demanded king, they got Saul. When Saul failed them, they went back to God, and God told them, to go to the house of Jesse, there was a king.

He further added that all the great men were paraded, but God didn’t act when David, who is an unassuming personality came and God asked Samuel to anoint him king of Israel.

“A very unassuming candidate, and a good Christian from Southern Nigeria, who has never worked in government for one.

A clean man who earns his money outside the government.”

On his rating and advice to Christians in Nigeria, he said as a nationalist, the 2023 election in Nigeria has been partitioned into prey because I have a religion, I wouldn’t pretend because APC, has given us a Muslim/Muslim ticket.

Their argument according to him is that these two people are the most competent Persons for over 200 million population of Nigeria.

No competent man among Christians, traditionalists, atheists, or free thinkers.

My appeal therefore to Nigerians, is to kill the evil first before you resolve other issues. ”Drive the fox far into the bush before warning the fowl not to go far into the bush next time”. Hausa Proverb.

APC, introduce religion into Politics, a country of over 488 ethics nationalities, over 1000 dictates, you will tell me that you can’t balance, interest, that I should accept a Tarok Christian that there is no any other person that is qualified to be vice president expect people of the same faith.

He further questioned what about when a decision is being taken in the mosque, Makkah,l will not be there as Christian. We must put into consideration, that the enemy of our democracy is that man that doesn’t respect the country’s diversity.  He maintained.
