Niger State Governor Charges Police Officers To Ensure Safety Of Lives And Property As Six Inspectors Are Promoted To ASP

Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has charged officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force in the state to redouble their efforts in ensuring the safety of lives and property as the state is faced with more security challenges.

Governor Sani Bello gave the charge at the Government House, Minna while decorating some police officers who were newly promoted in the state.

While congratulating the newly promoted police officers, the Governor, represented by his Chief of Staff (COS), Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Kagara called on the police to put in more effort in curbing the security challenges faced in the state.

He advised them to discharge their duties diligently, adding that the promotion is to spur them to do better especially in this period of security challenges in the state and the country at large.

“Your promotion is a call for more service to your fatherland. Ensure that you carry out your duties diligently so that you won’t disappoint those who recommended your promotion”, he said.

He then called on them to work harder and wished them well in all their endeavor as their promotion was based on their performance.

In his remarks, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, Adamu Usman represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman advised the newly promoted police officers to ensure discipline and conduct themselves in the discharge of their duties.

He beckoned on them to be conversant with the Police Act 2020 as amended and to uphold the ethics of the profession.

Those promoted from the rank of Inspectors are; ASP Felix Daniel, ASP Saidu Tanko, ASP John Abu, ASP Danjuma Wakili, ASP Haruna Mohammed, and ASP Godwin Adukwu.

The promoted officers were decorated by the DCP Danmamman and were assisted by Alh Balarabe.
