Concern for the well-being and welfare of medical personnel working in Niger State has become a top priority of the State Government.
Worried by the challenges medical practitioners face in Niger State, the Governor has intervened in improving their welfare. One of their major problems is that of accommodation, which has discouraged a number of them from taking up offers to work at rural and remote parts of the State.
The administration has just completed renovation of the residential buildings of doctors and nurses at General Hospital, Kuta. This is in accordance to the Governor’s electoral promises in which Health is one of the State’s critical sectors.
Kuta is far away from the state capital and its accommodation challenges have been a discouraging factor for health workers. So, prioritizing their welfare will not only motivate them to work but to also concentrate on catering for the growing health needs of the State.
