The management and leadership of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NICCIMA, Business Women Group, NAWORG in International Partnership with Centre for International Private Enterprise, CIPE, and Support of Association of Nigerian Women Business Network, ANWBN, held a one-day workshop and stakeholders meeting in Owerri, capital city of Imo State, with the theme: “Improving Access to Finance For Women Entrepreneurs In Nigeria”.
Moreso, the leadership of the Nigerian Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Business Women Group, NAWORG, on Wednesday, April 24th 2019,officially inaugurated NICCIMA Business Women Group, NAWORG, Imo State Chapter.
In an address presented by the Imo State Coordinator of NAWORG,Rtn.Mrs.Ugoeze Edith Chinyere Promise Ohanweh,at the official inauguration/CIPE Financial literacy workshops of NAWORG,expressed delight to witness the official inauguration of NAWORG and promised to assist the women to excel.
Also,in his opening address,the Chief Host,who is also the Acting President of Owerri Chamber of Commerce,Industry,Mines and Agriculture,OCCIMA,Mr.Everest Okpara,on the occasion of the inauguration of NAWORG Imo State Chapter by the National President of NICCIMA,Chief Mrs.Iyalode Alaba Lawson,expressed satisfaction on the successes so far recorded by the women group of NICCIMA since the establishment.
The OCCIMA Boss,Okpara,in his words advised the Women Group to ensure they live up to expectation in which they are established but promised to support them achieve the aims and objective.
Chief Mrs.Lawson,while speaking described NAWORG as a prestigious and industrious women group who are poised to add positive value to the economy of the country even as she vowed to assist and direct them to succeed as a group under her watch.
Some of the respected dignitaries from across the nation in attendance includes:”Imo State Commissioner for Happiness,Hon.Mrs.Ogechi Ololo, the Chairman,Council of Traditional Rulers of Orsu,HRH Eze Dr.Mike Ebighi, Hon.Chief Charles Okeke (Odiuko na Mba) and so many business merchants from across the state.
